The Story
1982 – The group is led by its songwriter-musician Michael Cleveland 
, and it was known for employing a strong disco-esque bass line and early hip hop lyrics backed by two female singers: Réjane Magloire and Rose Marie Ramsey.
“Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life” was released on Sound of New York/Becket Records (SNY-5102) in 1982 and peaked in early 1983, reaching the top 10 in the US R&B and #2 in the US Club as well as the Top 15 in UK,[1] and was certified for Gold-level sales in France. The follow-up single, “When Boys Talk,” did not do nearly as well on either side of the Atlantic, which, combined with its limited later success, put the group into the one-hit wonders category. Vocalist Magloire later enjoyed some success with the Belgian techno-house outfit Technotronic. “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life” was later covered by Mariah Carey on her 2001 album Glitter, and it reached #25 in Spain.
1997- Michael Cleveland met Peter A. Mercury in 1997. Peter published, managed, produced and toured with loads of top artists for many years. Both became friends. Michael did not do any show as Indeep since the 80′s but a 1997 new year show on TF1 french tv.
2011- Something impossible happened, Peter convinced Michael Cleveland to re-form the band, Magloire and Ramsey being replaced by Beckie Bell

Beckie Bell is a native New Yorker who lives in France for many years. Miss black New York in 1975. In the late 70′s she was contacted by Patrick Adams to join the group Musique with Rainy Davis and Marisa touring all over the United States. The early 80′s, she decided to go to Europe. An artist performing in many clubs… pure disco fever ! A few club hits with Patrick Cowley and “Let me Know with Jasques Morali. Making France her homebase, she has been singing with a variety of international top artists. In the early 90 her record “Steppin out Tonight” was a top hit in the clubs in Europe. Currently performing from time to time, and working with her partner and friend Peter Mercury on new songs for upcoming artists, The Rdv was made for a new adventure with the neverending Disco craze with Indeep….
WiX is a wild producer also known for his crazy sound and mix with his hit cover “smells like teen spirit” sold 450.000 samples in 2004 (Warner Music).
